first trip to the beach

This past weekend we took a last-minute trip to Wilmington to see my parents and to just get away.  I'm so glad Brad suggested that we go because we had such a great time and came back feeling so refreshed!  Some highlights were: spending time with Nana and Pap, lunch with the Carpenter family, taking Eva to the beach (!!!), Brad getting to fish A LOT (not catching a lot, however:) ), eating good food- my dad made a yummy brunch and an oh-so-good seafood dinner, and Eva sleeping wonderfully for her first time in the pack n' play!

Lucy got to be the co-pilot after we got frustrated not being able to find the kennel in Gboro Friday evening and decided to just bring her along.  She loved playing with my parent's two dogs.
And I got to sit in the back with this sweet girl!  We are so thankful that she actually enjoys riding in the car most of the time.
I did a terrible job documenting the rest of the trip, but below are some pictures of our trip to Wrightsville Beach.  If you can't tell by that sweet face Eva LOVED it!

Sitting on the Greensboro Street access bench.  I lived on the sound side of Gboro St. for a few years in college and loved finally getting to take B and E to the place I love so much!
